The Ethics committee of COPER, under the chairmanship of Justice M.N. Venkatachalaiah, Chief Justice of India (Retd), has developed a manual of "Ethical guidelines for Psychosocial Research involving Human Subjects". This is the first of its kind in the country and has been formally adopted by the Governing Council of COPER at its meeing on Nov 27, 2007.
